Dominican Republic is very easy to reach from major airports in the USA. There are more than 50 direct daily flights from New York, Washington (DC), Miami, Chicago, Atlanta and San Juan. Average price for 2-way ticket is USD$ 500. For the students coming from Caribbean region there are direct flights from St. Maarten, Curacao, Aruba, Antigua and connecting flights through Antigua and St. Maarten from any other Caribbean Islands.
Tuition fee does not include accommodation. ICSA offers wide choice of housing for the duration of course. The accommodation options available vary from inexpensive hostel/bed & breakfast-type options to studio/bedroom apartments. The price depends on double/single occupancy and varies between USDS$200 – USD$300. Rooms and apartments are furnished including study table, chair and light and have unlimited access to high-speed Internet. Reservation with 30% deposit must be made together with tuition fee payment. Deposit is not refundable.
Santo Domingo offers an incredible variety of restaurants to serve most every visitor's taste and budget. Establishments range from restaurants in 5 star hotels, to smaller roadside gems offering something a little more economical and casual. Your daily expenses can be from USD$ 5 and up. Upon request students can order lunch delivered to campus from one of the restaurants located nearby. You are not required to have any vaccination shots to enter the Dominican Republic. However, we strongly recommend that all visitors familiarize themselves with the travel information available from the Department of Health of your country.
Medical facilities: You must have your own medical insurance. Please check with your insurance company if it covers your stay in Dominican Republic up to 3 months.
